Here’s the scenario….some dudes (apparently sponsored by Puma) have a sleepover with their friends in a school gym and a gang of dominatrix ninjas disrupts their fun by subjecting them to testicle hitting devices, slapping, kickboxing, overall terror and a Japanese Flavor Flav imitator. Just as Flavor Flav-san is pulling the show to a close in the final seconds, the gang of dominatrix ninjas returns in full force to surround, overwhelm, and beat the contestants with large fans. The indignity is punctuated by a chubby dominatrix ninja gyrating on a platform rubbing his tummy whom we only see briefly, unfortunately.

You remember that time when you visited your first castle in England and you got to see the dungeon and the dressed-up docent started explaining all the ways people died in there? I do, and I happened to be quite surprised in the simplicity of some of those methods, like just leaving someone in a pit in the floor until they stopped making noises. The Japanese are kind of like that with their game shows sometimes. They just say, “let’s get a bunch of people in this gym for a day and we’ll f@&k with them and it’ll be funny.” No Regis Philbins, trips to Hawaii, or showcase showdowns, just good old fashioned dominatrix ninjas the way god intended it.

Every now and then SNL comes up with something funny as evidenced by the “Dick in a box” and “Chronicles of Narnia” songs from years past. Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s visit to the U.S. last week was widely covered and his clear disconnect with reality provided them once again with some great material.

You will note the pun used in this song referring to “I ran”, the song by A Flock of Seagulls which has already been used in blog entries on this site though I won’t argue that I am the first to compare them to a middle of the road 80′s group. Ironically, although the elected president, Ahmadinejad is neither the head of state nor the commander in chief of Iran, but he’s the guy we always hear from, and maybe singing him a love song will get him to calm down with all that nuclear proliferation shit he’s up to. Anyway, enjoy Andy Samberg setting the “moud” for his main man in Iran….

I have more Japanese game show clips for you. This one would never fly in the states, or most countries for that matter, because it involves the direct antagonism toward and general messing with a protected animal. This is probably why they still hunt whales too. As we all know though, the non-politically correct often = hilarious, and I think you’ll find that this falls into the same category. The Japanese Human Tetris clip from a few weeks ago went over well, so here’s some more for you. There is a definite brain candy feeling these kinds of clips bring- they’re happy & simple, but original. When this show makes it to the US, it’ll be on Fox, they’ll set the shapes people have to fit through on fire, and all the contestants will be former celebrities (get ready for the phone to ring, Willie Aames), but I’ll always prefer the original…

I’m not sure how this one is gonna go over, you might think it’s funny, you might not get it, but I’m gonna post it anyway and see what happens. Personally, if I was to act out a Nintendo game in real life, it would be “Mike Tyson’s Punch Out” because I have issues to settle with that bastard Don Flamenco, the details of which are between me and my psychiatrist.

That being said, there are some things in this world which are undeniably funny, and Japanese people playing a form of human tetris is one of them. This clip may not even be new, but I don’t care, this stuff is great. It gives me hope in a world that so often feels hopeless. Actually, it just makes me laugh and kills time at work, so hopefully it brings a smile to your face as well.
